ハイ！私の名前はノリコ・モルガンで、米国の看護師です。私は日系アメリカ人でもあり、ワシントンD.Cの近くで生まれ育ちました。ヴァージニア大学の看護学校に進学、卒業後には、ヴァンダービルト大学にてナーシング・プラクティスの博士課程を終了しました。
臨床経験については、ナーシング・プラクティショナーとして、呼吸器内科の外来での経験、また同時に看護師として循環器病棟での看護ケアに従事しました。
今年初めからは、東京都看護協会の英会話研修にて実践コースの講師に携わり、大変楽しく関わっています。日本の看護師の皆さんと出会う機会が持てたことについて、教えたり学んだり話をしたりすることが、何よりも光栄でもあり、感激しています。
現在私はボランティアとして米国赤十字の公衆衛生にも関わっています。私と主人は東京都心から少し外れたところで、２人の娘とペットの犬と同居しています。また家族や友人達と一緒に、コーヒーや懐石料理をいただいたりしながら楽しく過ごしています。
Hi! My name is Noriko Morgan and I am a nurse from the US. I am Japanese-American, born and raised near Washington, DC. I attended nursing school at the University of Virginia and completed graduate nursing school, followed by a doctoral nursing practice program, at Vanderbilt University. My previous clinical experiences have been as a nurse practitioner in outpatient pulmonary medi-cine, as well as a registered nurse for inpatient cardiovascular care. I began lecturing for the TNA Nursing English practical course at the beginning of this year and have enjoyed it very much. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and am grateful for this opportunity to meet and con-verse with nurses in Japan. Currently, I am also volunteering in public health through the American Red Cross. My husband and I live in the suburbs of Tokyo with our two daughters and our dog. I enjoy coffee, eating kaiseki, and spending time with family and friends.
